Carla is finding the decision to return to work after having the baby tough. Elliot treats another doctor, which is always tough going. JD and Kim try to figure out how much they have in common.
- Bland-Name Product: The hospital gets a Coffee Bucks.
- The Bus Came Back: Cabbage shows up working for the Coffee Bucks. He's still terrible at his job.
- Butt-Monkey: Ends up at the end of both lines to the two different coffee shops.
- Failed a Spot Check: The line to the new Coffee Bucks is so long that it ends up at another Coffee Bucks (admittedly not difficult in the US). The people at the end of the line just turn around and go into the new shop after Mickhead says, "Oh, there's another one.".
- Laser-Guided Karma: For having the guts to stand up to her patient, he offers Elliot a position at his private practice.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Elliot chews out her patient for using his assisting physician (both in private practice) to schedule himself for surgery, even though he's an older patient and it would be risky to go that route instead of medicinal.
