• Boom, Headshot!: How Piper meets her end, courtesy of Emma.
• Cain and Abel: Piper is the Cain to Emma's Abel.
• Hidden Disdain Reveal: After being revealed as the killer, it's established Piper's friendliness towards Emma was a façade, with Piper having nothing but resentment towards her half-sister for having a better than she did.
• The Reveal: Piper is the mastermind of the new Lakewood killings, being Maggie and Brandon's daughter and therefore Emma's half-sister. There is also at least one other killer due to Piper having been present at one of the attacks.
• Sequel Hook: A loose end following Piper's death is that she was with some of the characters in an earlier episode when they were attacked, meaning there's another killer still out there.
