Chapter 7

Tropes That Appear In This Chapter:

  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In the original series, the Turtles only knew the Pulverizer from two encounters before he became Mutagen Man. Here they know each other from school, Timothy presented as an incompetent Bully Hunter.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: In the original series, Casey Jones does not make his first appearance until after the Turtles thwart the Kraang's first invasion in the season one finale, and even then Casey doesn't meet the turtles until eight episodes into Season 2. Here, he is introduced as Raphael's friend, his first appearance when Ms. Campbell tries capturing April.
  • Bully Hunter:
    • Raphael is apparently known by the school bullies as the guy that kicks their asses every week. It has gotten to the point where even the presence of one of his brothers is enough to spook them off.
    • Timothy/The Pulverizer aspires to be one, though he has yet to accomplish this.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Splinter still finds out about the Pulverizer accidentally winding up in the lair. In canon, the Lair was also the Hamato Clan's home and the Pulverizer accidentally winds up in Splinter's room. Here, Leatherhead lets Splinter know about over the phone.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: When the family asks why Mikey wants to call their new bus "the Shellraiser" instead of "Hellraiser", he answers that aside of the top looking like a turtle-shell, it would get them in trouble for using a non-family friendly name for it and for copyright reasons.
