After seeing Gem wearing a pair of skinny jeans by Waif Moss (a notoriously skinny model) and worrying that Harvey is into girls who are stick-thin, Sabrina and Chloe use the Spooky Jar magic to make them thin enough to wear the jeans, but soon find that they are too big to wear them — because the magic affects height as well as waistline.
Tropes:
- Comedic Underwear Exposure: In the school cafeteria, Chloe and Sabrina’s pants slip down, This is the first indication that they are shrinking. Both of them are shown to be wearing boxers.
- Magic Pants: Subverted. Sabrina and Chloe’s pants become too baggy for them when they first start shrinking. However, when they change into doll clothes, those shrink along with them.
- Tempting Fate: After taking refuge in Gem’s locker to avoid being trampled by students in the hallway, Chloe says, “This can’t possibly get any worse.” Gem then shuts her locker, leaving the two trapped until the end of the day.
