Recap / Rick And The Loud House Chapters 6 - 7 L Is For Love Potion

Go To

It's Valentine's Day and the Loud Siblings are getting ready to spend the day with their crushes. However, one mistake from one of them could very well change their lives forever...

Rick & Morty episode: "Rick Potion #9"

Loud House episode(s): "L Is For Love", "Save The Date", "Back In Black", "Stage Plight"

  • Break the Cutie: All the Loud Kids (sans Lily) are very traumatized from both seeing their universe get destroyed and having to bury their recently-killed counterparts in their new reality.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Thanks to Luna's love potion and Rick's botched attempts to correct the damage, the whole world gets turned into "Cronenburg" monsters, forcing Rick and the Loud Kids to abandon their dimension and move to a new one where they died (with the kids burying their dead counterparts). The only saving grace is that they get to try again with their crushes, but only Luan gets rejected by her crush Benny, leading her to blame Luna, straining her relationship with her.
  • Continuity Nod: When Lana checks on the pets in their new dimension, she notes that Charles is still gone.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Luna when she realized that she tried to steal Sam's free will to get her to fall in love with her and her actions helped lead to the world getting destroyed.
  • Nothing Is the Same Anymore: Everything goes so wrong that Rick and the Loud Kids are forced to abandon their parents, their Lily, and their entire dimension.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: All the Loud Siblings sport this stare after burying their dead dimensional counterparts, except for Lana who went to go check on the pets.
  • Wham Episode: These chapters show that even one slip-up with Rick's inventions can lead to disastrous consequences for the Loud Children and there WON'T be an easy fix.
  • Wham Line: Luan, in her anger, calls Luna a "dyke" for getting together with Sam after she doomed their old world while she lost out on Benny.
