The park crew has finished their training and finally graduated from the Space Tree Station. Mordecai and Rigby go to celebrate by getting some snacks from a space convenience store. But overhear of a attack on the station and witness the ringleader, a darker version of Pops (who they dub "Anti-Pops"), erase the clerk with a wave of his hand. They manage to make it back and warn the others but Anti-Pops arrives not shortly after to take over the station and capture Pops.
Tropes
- Disproportionate Retribution: Anti-Pops "erases" the clerk of the convenience store simply because he was too slow in trying to count his change for his drink.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Twice
- Rawls uses his push up skills to keep a door from closing on the crew and allow them to get to their Park Dome.
- Chance actually manages to make a good shot to stop the canon from destroying the crew but ejected out into space, without a suit, to do so and was caught in the blast of a planet's destruction (due to the cannon being re-directed) to boot.
- No Kill like Overkill: Anti-Pops solution to taking out Pops. Shoot the Park Dome with a giant laser the size of a planet.
- No One Gets Left Behind: Pops initially refuses to leave Rawls and the Space Tree to its fate, coming back to rescue them. While this does save the station's recruits and allow time for them to evacuate, they ultimately do have to leave their space friends behind.
- Oh, Crap!: Several
- Mordecai and Rigby when they see Anti-Pops erase the clerk.
- Rawls when told about this. He quickly "graduates" the entire station and orders everyone to evacuate. But this turns bigger when he's told Anti-Pops has already arrived.
- The entire crew when they see Anti-Pops point a huge cannon their way.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: A soothing, peaceful electric guitar tune is played when Chance performs a Heroic Sacrifice by ejecting from his spaceship and taking down the cannon without his spacesuit, as the crew blasts off into space with its warp drive.
- The Dreaded: When Rawls hears of Anti-Pops description from Mordecai and Rigby, he cites Anti-Pops as "He who will erase us!".
- We Need a Distraction: Twice
- Rawls stall Anti-Pops for as long as he can so the park crew can escape. First by refusing to tell him where Pops is and then doing 1,000 push ups in two minutes which initially intrigues Anti-Pops.
- When the crew come back to rescue the station, they use an escape ship to lure Anti-Pops away from it.
- Wham Episode: Anti-Pops makes his move to capture Pops forcing the crew to flee with the fate of Rawls, Chance, Sally and Recap Bot unknown.
