- Divided We Fall: Lampshaded by Sarge, who points out that, despite the Freelancers having better skills and gadgets, that never meant anything without teamwork.
- Honor Before Reason: Wash calls the Blood Gulch Crew out on trying to rescue Carolina and Epsilon, pointing out that this is a Suicide Mission. Sarge retorts that the Crew have won unbeatable battles against the Freelancers because they fight as a team.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When Caboose responds to Doc's claim that "everyone got what they wanted" with a depressed "not everyone", the entirety of both teams look down in shame before deciding to go and rescue Epsilon and Carolina.
