Poseidon Vs Kojiro Sasaki is the third fight in Shuumatsu no Walküre: Record of Ragnarok, and takes place from chapters 15 to 21.
Tropes for this fight:
- David vs. Goliath: A more prominent example than the last fights. In the first few seconds after the match started, Sasaki had already imagined several scenarios where Poseidon literally swats him like a bug. Unlike Lu Bu or Adam, Sasaki only has his skill to keep up with Poseidon’s superhuman movement.
- Death Glare: Poseidon gives one to the God’s half of the audience. Because their cheering was annoying.
- Defeating the Undefeatable: Sasaki Kojiro does the impossible and actually defeats Poseidon, proving humans do have a chance at winning against the gods.
- The Dreaded: Poseidon. The second the gods in the audience see him step out into the arena, they are completely and utterly silent with fear.
- The Many Deaths of You: Sasaki visualizes himself dying several times against Poseidon before he actually begins to fight.
- Villainous Valour: Credit where credits’ due, Poseidon doesn’t go out like a coward. Sasaki cuts off his thrusting arm? Poseidon grabs the arm holding his trident from midair and tries to stab Sasaki. He gets that arm cut off? He grabs the trident by the teeth.
