Outside, Vasileios tries to flee, but one of the elves fires an arrow. It misses and hits a bystander. Vasileios tends to her wound, while the elves escape in the confusion. When Dikeo guards come over to investigate, Vasileios shows them the arrow, which the detective identifies as belonging to the Hayfever Tribe. Vasileios tells the detective what he overheard in the bar. He soon gets word from the guard that the two elves have been apprehended at the city gate. However, by the time Vaseleios reaches the gate, he is informed that the Aspirin and Prozac had gotten away. Fortunately, an inventor in town loans Vasileios his motorcycle. At Trottleara, the Tasque Guard appear ready to apprehend Vasileios. He claims he’s come to Trottleara to show off the “motorized-bicycle”. The guards are suspicious, but offer Vasileios entry in exchange for his lucky charm. While arguing, the motorcycle inexplicably comes to life and starts driving away. The guards scramble to chase it, allowing Vasileios to slip past them, catch up with the vehicle, and continue on to Prince Pratt’s castle. At the castle, Vasileios spots Aspirin and Prozac climbing one of the walls. They spot him, and sic Cody on him. Vasileios crashes into a wall, but manages to fight off Cody, grounding him with a swing of the sword. Taking pity on the bird, Vasileios patches up Cody’s injuries and takes him along. Pratt sends Roland to retrieve this stone in the hopes of increasing his popularity in the kingdom. Before setting out on his mission, Roland stops by a community library to do some research, and at an adventures guild to recruit a dwarf named Jergen Bradley. After a few minor dangers along the way, they finally make it to the Temple of Aldrid. In the Temple, Roland and Jergen see the history of Trottleara in the masonry that lines the walls. Deeper in, they come upon an intersection, and they decide to go down the path littered with a few gold coins. The path leads them to an abyss, into which Jergen carefully lowers Roland. At the bottom, Roland discovers what appears to be an ancient throne room, with giant spiders inside. He also finds a sarcophagus, bearing the image of a king, surrounded by old, golden treasures. Roland pries opens the sarcophagus, only to discover the body of a dwarf king. The stone tablet that the body holds reads an inscription cursing the name of the Hemlock family, and naming one Godfrey Bradley as the rightful ruler of the kingdom. The spiders start attacking, causing Roland Ward to take the tablet and run. Out of desperation, Roland whips out his Mysterious Artifact, which starts to glow brightly and blare disco music. The music repels the spiders, and Roland climbs back up the top to the top of the abyss, where Jergen is waiting. Roland and Jergen leave the Temple of Aldrid and make their way back to Trottleara, the Mysterious Artifact strobing and playing the entire time. Roland gives the tablet to Jergen Bradley, reasoning that Prince Pratt’s advisors would want to bury the truth.

Mario tries to bluff his way through Don Vito’s questioning, but then his explosives go off. The Hayfever Tribe leader and the Don are killed in the blast, but Mario is merely propelled out the window. Pratt and Balian go down an enormous shaft towards a glow at the bottom. They find a dusty undercroft. Pratt makes his way past banners depicting coat-of-arms he doesn't fully recognize, and goes to some double doors. Inside, he spies a ritual which Pratt disrupts. Pratt heads to the throne room and encounters Jon Hapeño, who admits to working with Droog, and calls out Pratt for his incompetence. Pratt heads to the library, where he encounters his aunt. He tried to convince her to join his side, but to no avail. With some difficulty, Pratt avoids crossbow fire and makes it up the stairs and leaps to the balcony where his aunt is, crashing into her. She drops the book she was holding, and Pratt tears up the rune inside. Pratt heads to the courtyard and burns the giant tarp, bringing the magical forcefield down. With all the runes destroyed, Pratt goes to the main hall to face off Droog. Together with Balian and the baker and the guard, they come up with a plan to free the prisoners. Pratt confronts Droog, who reveals one last rune carved into his wrist. The baker drops flour, and the Final Battle ensues.
