Tropes

  • Cliffhanger: "Welcome to the Lost Galaxy!"
  • Evil All Along: Mutiny unsurprisingly so. He presents himself as a friendly captain eager to help those trapped in the Lost Galaxy, but he's the Arc Villain that wants to add the people of Terra Venture to his large group of slaves.
  • Foreshadowing: Mike not being with the Rangers when they learn of Mutiny's slaves is what keeps the villains from learning he's Magna Defender. This allows him to pull off his Trojan Prisoner gambit at the end of this arc. Also, earlier in the episode, Commander Stanton has a vision of a ghost Commander warning him to escape the Lost Galaxy in the same way they entered (which was by reading the Keonta spell in the Galaxy Book) which the Rangers also do at the end of this arc.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Trakeena and her minions are terrified by the mere idea of being trapped in the Lost Galaxy.
  • Not Quite Dead: Rocketron survives the fight with the Zords, but then he's found by someone else who falls under this trope: Deviot.
  • Properly Paranoid: Mike immediately doesn't trust Mutiny. Stanton seems to agree, but he says they don't have any other options. The Rangers are also suspicious and go to the planet with Mike.
  • Trojan Horse: Mutiny claims to be giving Terra Venture a machine that will allow them to leave the Lost Galaxy. However, the box actually contains a massive monster that attacks the Rangers and then burrows underground.
  • What Measure Is a Mook?: Deviot returns to his old self by draining Rocketron of his energy.
Rocketron: Give me my power back before it's too— [explodes]
  • You Are Too Late: The fight with Rocketron prevents the Rangers from getting back to Terra Venture in time before the box is opened.
  • You Fool!: Trakeena's reaction to Villamax wanting to follow the Rangers through the portal.
