  • And the Adventure Continues: Even though their time as Rangers is over, the end of the episode features the Rangers running off to help with another fire. Later seasons imply that Lightspeed Rescue eventually got up and running again.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Just as Jinxer is about to use the Omega Megazord to put the final stone in position, Carter and Ryan arrive in the Mobile Armor Vehicle.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The submarine from the first episode returns, being used to escape the flooded Aquabase, and later by Captain Mitchell to take out the Batling-piloted Lifeforce Megazord.
  • Deader than Dead: One way of interpreting Queen Bansheera's fate is that a horde of demons ripped her soul apart as she landed in the Shadow World.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: Queen Bansheera's final plan is to release all the monsters from the Shadow World - every monster ever, going back to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. She is eventually pushed into the Shadow World by Carter, but she latches onto him. The deceased Diabolico, however, appears in spirit form, severs her tentacle, and sends his former mistress to her fate. The last thing we see before the Shadow World tomb closes is all the monsters closing in and starting to maul her. It's nothing less than she deserved.
  • Entitled Bitch: After how horrible she treated her own minions, when Diabolico shows up in spirit, Queen Bansheera believes he has come to help her, before he says he is to help the Rangers defeat her.
  • Fate Worse than Death: The other way to interpret Queen Bansheera's fate is that the horde of demons in the Shadow World are to beat the shit out of her and torment her for all eternity as payback for her disloyalty to them. Most fans would agree that she deserves this one more.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Averted, but Carter makes his willingness to pull one off all too clear as he hangs over the Shadow World, telling the other Rangers to close the casket without hesitation. But the others straight-up refuse to leave him to his fate.
  • Hope Spot:
    • Carter and Ryan successfully take out the Omega Megazord, but the final stone still falls into the needed position, thus allowing the ritual to proceed.
    • Carter manages to kick Queen Bansheera into the casket, sending her tumbling towards the Shadow World. Just as Carter relaxes however, a tendril grabs his arm and pulls him into the casket.
  • Losing a Shoe in the Struggle: Carter loses his helmet at the conclusion of his battle with Queen Bansheera.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Diabolico gets revenge for Queen Bansheera's treatment of her supporters in the final battle, helping the Power Rangers seal her away forever.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: At risk of getting pulled down into the Shadow World with Queen Bansheera, Carter tells Ryan to close the lid before the other demons can escape. Ryan and the others refuse, instead trying to grab his hand.
  • Ramming Always Works: Carter and Ryan take out the Omega Megazord by crashing the Mobile Armor Vehicle into it, destroying Jinxer and a few Batlings in the process.
  • Taking You with Me: After Queen Bansheera is pushed into the tomb leading to the Shadow World, she has enough time to try and drag Carter down with her. Fortunately for Carter, Diabolico's spirit saves him by cutting Bansheera's tentacle.
  • Villainous Rescue: Diabolico saving Carter and ensuring Queen Bansheera gets the fate she deserves.
