Recap / Pokemon S 25 E 29 Infinite Possibilities

Go To

With Ash and Goh off in Galar for the Masters Eight Tournament, Chloe takes Eevee for a checkup. Having recounted a great deal of fun she had on her adventures, she's eager to learn more about evolution. Luckily, her father has the perfect idea; with the family off on a camping trip, he takes her to a forest that holds its fair share of memories for him in his youth, and a place where the possibilities are endless.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Arc Words: "Infinite Possibilities," for both Chloe and for Eevee.
  • Bee Afraid: In his youth, Professor Cerise rescued a Clefairy when it got lost from the mountains, rescuing it from a Beedrill.
  • Be Yourself: After a whole season of learning how everyone else lives alongside their pokemon, Chloe ultimately concludes that she wants to learn about evolution so she can live with pokemon in her own way.
  • The Bus Came Back: Pinery returns so Chloe can have her Eevee examined.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Chloe gains this when she finally figured out what she wants; to study evolution.
  • Call-Back: Chloe recounts all of her previous encounters with the eight Eeveelutions, as well as her meeting Lana and participating in the Lilycove City Contest with her Eevee.
  • Jerkass: A swarm of Golbat interrupt the Clefairy's Moon Dance for no reason, forcing Chloe and Eevee to intervene.
  • Not Worth Killing: A G-rated version. When the young Professor Cerise uses a stick to try and stop a Beedrill from attacking a wild Clefairy, the Beedrill just leaves him be.
  • Written-In Absence: Ash and Goh aren't seen in this episode outside of a brief fantasy due to the two being in Galar at the time.
