An injured Pidove ends up at the Cerise household, getting Chloe's attention and sparking jealousy from Yamper.
- Call-Back: Talia's illustration of her daughter from Best Friend...Worst Nightmare! returns as a plot point.
- Chekhov's Gag: Pidove fawns over the illustration of Chloe and her messy hair. We later learn why: its trainer has curly hair too!
- Crying a River: When Ash and Goh are looking for Sobble, they see 10 Pokémon (Butterfree, three Dustox, Muk, Scyther, Galarian Farfetch'd, Dragonite and Golurk), and they cry a huge puddle of tears.
- A Day in the Limelight: The second Chloe episode but also puts focus on Yamper too.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Yamper drags a battered Pidove to the Cerise family, like how some pets (more commonly cats and dogs) would bring dead animals to their owners.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Yamper does not like the attention that Chloe puts on Pidove. Ironically, turns out Chloe herself was jealous of Yamper when she was younger.
- It Was a Gift: This episode showcases Yamper's backstory, revealing that he was gifted to the Cerise family from a friend in the Galar Region.
- Jerkass Realization: Chloe realized how badly she treated Yamper in the past and decided to never be that way with him ever again.
- Took a Level in Badass: Chloe takes down the Fearow that was hunting the Pidove without hesitation, as opposed to the last time she fought.
