Ash, Brock, Misty, and the students of the Pokémon School all visit Akala Island so Mallow can get some ingredients from Kiawe's farm. There, they meet Olivia, and Brock is smitten on battling a fellow Rock-type specialist.

- What Happened to the Mouse?: Brock is revealed to have obtained a Comfey from the Melemele Island Nurse Joy for helping her out in the previous episode, however after using it to soothe an angry Kangaskhan who was protecting her injured baby thus allowing him to treat it, Comfey is never seen again in any of Brock's future appearances
