Arriving at a quaint little town, Flash and his friends decide to take a break before resuming their journey. There, they encounter. There, they meet an familiarly pink, excitable girl who invites them to a special Poke-Muff class.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: When Pinkie is invited to join Flash's group, she declines, outright stating that the author couldn't include her in the main story without making her seem superfluous. Everyone is dumbfounded when they hear this reasoning.
- Lethal Chef: Flash makes the worst Poke-Muffs out of the group. When they come out, all of them are burnt, none of his Pokémon are willing to try one, and Flash vomits when he eats one himself.
- Thrill Seeker: Pinkie Pie reveals that she's not traveling the world to seek out badges, but rather just to have fun and make as many friends as possible. She doesn't even seem the least bit bothered when her match with Doc ends in a draw.
