After arriving at the next Pokémon Center, Flash receives a package from Nurse Redheart that was sent to him from his grandmother, his grandfather's old Technical Manual, containing several of his old notes on how to teach Pokémon new moves.
- Badass Bookworm: Flash's grandfather was this, according to his grandmother Cloud Clipper. He took notes of moves his Pokémon learned and was able to use them to teach those moves to other Pokémon.
- Blow You Away: Twilight teaches Shine Fairy Wind, which will also help her against any Dragon-Types.
- Breather Episode: This is a relaxing low stakes chapter with Flash, Doc, and Twilight simply trying to teach some of their Pokémon some new moves from the Technical Manual.
- Elemental Punch: Riptide trains to learn Ice Punch.
- Man Bites Man: Flash decides to upgrade Hopper's Bite to Crunch, and teaches Viper Poison Fang.
- Powerful, but Inaccurate: Doc decides to teach Tockwork Zap Cannon, but their biggest problem is getting it to hit their target since it only has a 50% chance of hitting.
- Took a Level in Badass: The main premise of this chapter is the group teaching their Pokémon better moves from the Technical Manual Flash's grandma sent him.
