Four is in the gym seeing how long he can jump. He cannot jump to the fourth Buddy Block and is discouraged, but Eight is confident in his abilities, in fact he's convinced Four can jump all the way to eight (though it'd take him two jumps). Four does, then an alarm different from the usual one sounds which Eight takes that to mean he needs to go on a mission so he leaves. The main alarm then sounds, so Four heads to the control room, still proud of his jumping.
Agent 16 reports a little girl having trouble with her umbrella moving on its own. Five and Six suggest Four should go out as he's been doing good jumping. Four agrees and is launched out.
He lands in a garden shop where a stroller is also moving on its own. Agents 42 and 68 report an observation of theirs: the umbrella has eight sections (four dark blue and four light) and they wonder if the stroller also has eight of something. Three says it only has four wheels, but they observe that the wheels are in pairs, so it has eight. Four then notices the Shape Japer.
Three wonders why the Shape Japer is interested in eights and Five hypothesises that it has something to do with her eight corners she has when she's cube-shaped. They talk about how it's a pity Eight's indisposed and Agent 101 reports another problem: a man is having trouble with his eight-buttoned coat going bad. Then, a woman's hands go out of control because she's wearing eight rings. Five imagines a double-four domino, an instrument with which somebody played eight notes, and an octopus going crazy.
Five points out that Four's double-jumping made eight and was good, so maybe he could do it again to make eight into a good thing again. They start the brain gain machine and Four jumps in front of the affected eights. It works.
Four then has to sort out a spider, but he's afraid of them. He does it anyway, then he jumps over the Shape Japer and she flies away. Four then comes back and they do the recap.
