P.I.X.A.L. attempts to recover Zane from the wreckage of his jet, only to discover a new complication.
- Berserk Button: As they hide from Vengestone Warriors, P.I.X.A.L. tells the Ice Emperor they'll need to be quiet. Unfortunately, this just enrages him.
- Continuity Nod: As Zane's holographic disguise glitches, he momentarily turns into Benthomaar and Akita.
- Crazy Memory: Fugi-Dove recalls how he gave an inspiring speech that rallied the various criminals, only for Ultra-Violet to point out it was Ronin who gave the speech, while Fugi-Dove cried.
- Enemy Mine: Ronin convinces his fellow inmates to actually help the heroes stop the Crystal King's invasion. He, Fugi-Dove, Ultra Violet, and Killow come to P.I.X.A.L. and Zane's rescue and take them to Borg Tower.
- Failed a Spot Check: Borg was so busy with his latest project he failed to notice the Crystal King's rampage.
- Failsafe Failure: Apparently if the electronics in Kryptarium Prison go out, all the doors are designed to open, allowing everyone imprisoned there to run wild.
- Ragnarök Proofing: Another reason Borg failed to notice what's been going on. Despite the Overlord's stuff knocking out all electronics everywhere else, Borg Tower was proofed against it.
- Shout-Out: Fugi-Dove's memory of his supposed inspiring speech is just him paraphrasing Oprah's infamous "You get a car!" moment.
- That Man Is Dead: Once again, the Ice Emperor insists Zane is no more whenever addressed as such.
- You Will Be Spared: The Ice Emperor declares Ronin will be spared for helping him, then retracts it moments later when irritated.
