- Rule of Three: In the opening, three locations suffer from one form of pressure. The Hollywood Tours driver goes under pressure and doesn't react fast enough to drive off a cliff. A restaurant's cookware explodes from pressure buildup, resulting in some injuries. And the manholes at a construction site explode, taking a worker's arm in the process.
- Shirtless Scene: Eddie's introduction is him putting on his shirt in slow-mo.
- Shower of Awkward: When Buck hears the shower on at Abby's place, he assumes that she has returned and tries to join her... only to awkwardly discover his sister
- Side Bet: Once Athena and Bobby reveal they're a couple now, Hen collects some bet money because she had a hunch they were together.
- Social Media Before Reason: The Shay-Nation's reaction to their friend being rescued from that microwave cement stunt? Record the first responders. Bobby teaches him a lesson in humility and abiding by the law by putting his phone in the pool.
- Too Dumb to Live: Shay-Nation's stunt with the microwave-over-cement stunt. Although considering they're doing it for views, and they could be expies of TGF Bro (and the fact that TGF did this stunt with the same outcome), it makes sense.
- Wham Line: "Attention all units, this is a citywide disaster alert. A massive earthquake has hit Central L.A.."
- Wham Shot: In the final moments, Athena is driving on a bridge, followed by a shockwave. The bridge snaps, cars fall off, and she exits the car. An earthquake has hit the city.
