The Segments:
Segment 1- The Mads are in trouble! Their funding has been cut because they no longer qualify as mad scientists. At best, they're just "mildly peeved researchers", and if they don't make progress in their research on bad movies soon, they'll be back to working in fruit inspection.
Segment 2
- The 'Bots trick Joel into falling for the classic fake telescope prank, leaving him with a black eye.
Segment 3
- Joel presents the "Hell in a Handbag", a novel new way to stop purse-snatchers by hiding a flamethrower inside.
Segment 4
- Drill Sergeant Joel has the 'Bots march in tune with a song proclaiming how great he is.
Segment 5
- Gypsy has been busy making newsletters and membership cards for the MST3K Fan Club, which Joel shows off as an incentive to sign up.
The Mystery Science Theater 3000 presentation of City on Fire has examples of:
- Early-Installment Weirdness: The first host segment is set completely in the Mads' control room. There's no scene on the Satellite of Love or even Movie Sign.
