As the raptorians head to their base with their captives, they're seen by a band of bushwoolies who decide to head to Paradise Estate to warn the others. On hearing the news, Megan takes Magic Star, Paradise and North Star and heads with them and the bushwoolies to the Black Mountains on a rescue mission. Shady and Molly return to the Estate shortly thereafter, and learn of the kidnapping. Shady blames herself for having failed her friends by not having been there when they needed help, and leaves in tears. Molly follows and consoles her in a short musical number, and on finding a trail of the bushwoolies' shed fur they decide to follow the rescue party's tracks to help the kidnapped ponies.
In the Black Mountains, the raptorians deliver their captives to Porcina, who has them put through an elaborate washing machines to make sure their manes are clean before they're cut to be woven into her cloak. The rescue party arrives in the mountains and begins searching for a way into Porcina's home, while Molly and Shady arrive shortly afterwards, with Shady determined to help her friends by herself to make up for her perceived failure.
Once the kidnapped ponies come out of the wash, the raptorians spend some time primping and preening them before preparing to harvest their manes. As they close in, they reveal that the ponies' part in their plans is far from over: once her cloak is repaired, Porcina will turn all of Dream Valley into glass.
