Moments before disaster

The one with the evil puppet.

One of Ms. Wakeman's old creations, a robot puppet turned rogue named "Li'l Acorn", tries to coerce Mrs. Wakeman to make him a bride. But when Acorn spots Jenny and fathoms she's his bride, it's up to both Nora and Jenny to fight back the puppet's maniacal advances and Nora's frights of a particular song.

"Puppet Bride" contains examples of:

  • Circling Birdies: Jenny gets hit on the head with a cane. Blue stars circle her head for a brief moment before she shakes them away.
  • Knight of Cerebus: The puppet Lil' Acorn trumps them all. Ignoring his backstory, he defeated Jenny with ease. And he's a PUPPET. He almost succeeded with his plan, too.
  • Shout-Out: The episode is basically one giant homage to Frankenstein.

Historinoics

The one with the island.

Jenny, Brad, Sheldon, and Tuck are stranded on an island inhabited by killer animatronics of historical figures.

"Historionics" contains examples of:

  • The Load: Tuck. Not only is he the cause of our heroes being trapped on the island in the first place due to him draining Jenny's energy to power his game while they were in flight (which Jenny told him NOT to do), but throughout the episode, he tries to frivolously entertain himself instead helping to find a way home and runs away at the first sight of danger to save his own skin. It's not until the climax of the episode where he actually does something helpful by giving up his game's batteries to re-power Jenny.
  • Mocky Mouse: Wizzly World founder Uncle Wizzly activates an animatronic of Abraham Lincoln who wears white gloves and does a high-pitched laugh.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Uncle Wizzly is clearly meant to be a pastiche of Walt Disney. His quotes even spoof several iconic Disney prhases.
Uncle Wizzly: This was supposed to be the happiest place on Ear-ARRRGGGH!
Uncle Wizzly: I'm having a hard time finding my happy place.
  • Race Against the Clock: The episode has Jenny, Brad, Tuck and Sheldon race to get off of an island with dangerous robots of historical figures before Jenny's back-up battery runs out (due to her crash into the ocean ruining her main one).
  • Shout-Out:
    • This episode's story shares more than a few similarities with Jurassic Park.
    • Uncle Wizzly's idea of an island of animatronics based on historical figures brings to mind Disney World's Hall of Presidents.
