Elliot wakes up in a hospital after the events of last week's episode. His therapist, Krista Gordon, and his drug supplier, Shayla are both standing over him. He has, of course, hacked the hospital and pretends to give in to the demands of his therapist to not take Morphine after she questions him about his refusal to take a drug test. He goes home and finds Darlene, one of the Fsociety hackers inside his apartment, and chases her out.
After turning down an invitation to dinner from his boss, Mr. Robot appears in his place of work and threatens to make a scene unless Elliot follows him to a nearby bar to talk. Mr. Robot claims that without Elliot there is no Fsociety, so Elliot decides to put it behind him and attempt to live, at least on the surface, a normal life. He accepts the invitation from his boss to go to dinner and asks Shayla to be his girlfriend, and his coworkers are shocked to see him drinking a Starbucks coffee.
During the dinner, while reminiscing with Angela, news that Evil Corp. knew about the toxicity in their plants that caused the death of Elliot's father and Angela's mother. Angela leaves the party and Elliot has a flashback.
At the end of the episode, Elliot returns to Fsociety and sits down to work.

- Kicking My Own Butt: Tyrell Wellick at the start of the episode is slapping himself in the face.
- Percussive Therapy: Tyrell beats up hobos to let off steam.
