MK wakes up to a perfect life... too perfect. He realizes he's living in an illusion brought on by being trapped in the nefarious Calabash.
Tropes:
- A Glitch in the Matrix: Throughout MK’s time in the Calabash, alongside his friends acting incredibly off with Pigsy being a Benevolent Boss and Mei being in love with him, the whole world around him keeps glitching out involuntarily as Jin and Yin try to keep control over the fake reality. It’s when Moe the cat starts talking that the jig is up.
- Lotus-Eater Machine: The Calabash acts as this, trapping MK in a seemingly perfect version of his life. Too bad Jin and Yin make his friends WAY out of character, though.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: MK ends up getting NUMEROUS moments of this while in the titular Calabash, as Jin and Yin end up causing several errors in the characters they're trying to copy, including in particular;
- Pigsy smiling when he declared he was giving MK a day off.
- Mei admitting, she was in love with MK.
- Monkey King, after hearing MK express his frustrations about the errors, just telling MK to accept it.
- Moe, a cat, talking.
- Vomit Discretion Shot: MK gets a couple moments of this throughout the episode when the idea of Mei being in love with him makes him throw up.
