Lockon visits a graveyard and finds that someone has already placed flowers on the grave that he came to pay his respects to. A man who looks exactly like Lockon watches from behind a tree.
Almost four months have passed since Celestial Being's first intervention. The Union and AEU have decided to not to attack Celestial Being outside of defending against their interventions, but the HRL intends to go on the offensive. Sergei assembles his Chobu special forces team and tells them that their mission is to defeat Celestial Being and capture their Gundams.
Ptolomios goes on standby mode for maintenance, leaving them exposed on the off chance that their enemies find them. Chobu releases communications probes to find Celestial Being's ship.
Louise's mother comes to visit her daughter. She immediately disapproves of Saji. Meanwhile, Kinue convinces her editor to let her do a story on Aeolia. Marina finally finds someone willing to provide solar power for Azadistan: the United Nations. She meets with Alejandro to discuss the terms of this agreement.
Lichty decides to mind the bridge so Christina can grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize the threat that the communications probes pose. Lockon finds Feldt crying: she explains that today is the anniversary of her parents' death. Her parents were Celestial Being members, but since Celestial Being's history is classified, she doesn't know how they died. To cheer Feldt up, Lockon tells her about himself. Lockon reveals that his real name is Neil Dylandy. He is from Ireland and joined Celestial Being because his parents were killed by terrorists. Christina returns to the bridge and finds that Lichty failed to notice that the HRL has found them.
Sumeragi has Allelujah and Tieria launch as a feint to distract the HRL forces from Ptolemios. Sergei sees through the feint, but chooses to fall for it anyway. He has two of his transport ships evacuate and go on autopilot for Allelujah and Tieria and has the rest engage Ptolemios. Sumeragi realizes that she has been outwitted: her original plan was for Sergei to see through her feint and send all of his forces to Ptolemios so Allelujah and Tieria could attack them from behind. Setsuna and Lockon launch to protect Ptolemios.
Sumeragi notices that the HRL forces keep attacking from a distance in an attempt to lure Exia and Dynames away from Ptolemios and realizes that the HRL real objective is to capture the Gundams. Soma engages Allelujah, who experiences a terrible headache. He realizes that he knows Soma.
