Recap / Mobile Fighter G Gundam S 1 E 15 Warriors Crest Farewell Shuffle Alliance

Go To

The Shuffle Alliance of old, the protectors of the space colonies, emerge in light of Master Asia's betrayal. The old guard and their successors come to blows as Domon confronts Master Asia!

Continuing from the previous episode, Domon meets with Tris Surgeyrev and the members of Master Asia's old Shuffle Alliance: Alan Lee, Max Burns, and Nassius Kircher, who explain their duties with watching over humanity from the shadows and intervening should it be threatened in any way. With the threat of the Devil Gundam and Master Asia now present, they've come to offer Domon their assistance due to his status as the current King of Hearts, leader of the alliance.

However, a Devil Army suit arrives with a message to Domon from Master Asia: He is to meet Master Asia at the Tokyo Tower, alone, to settle things. The Devil Army stand down and allow Domon unrestricted access to the tower, and despite his own injuries, Domon decides to accept, even when warned by Rain and the Shuffle Alliance that it could be a trap. As he departs, Tris can only voice her concern about how bad things are becoming and how brave, if not stupid, Domon is.

Once at the tower, Domon is confronted by not just Master Asia, but also the infected Chibodee, George, Sai Saici, and Argo. As he struggles to fight them, they soon show just how far their infections have advanced as their hands are now completely covered in DG Cells, and it has spread up to their necks and working up their chins, as they gloat and taunt Domon, trying to break his morale and spirit by showing how far they've fallen while accepting the power granted to them by the Devil Gundam. Thankfully for Domon, Tris and the other Shuffle Alliance members arrive to assist him, fighting the infected fighters while Domon fights Master Asia. The fights soon escalate when Sai Saici brings out the Dragon Gundam, joined by Gundam Maxter, Gundam Rose, and Bolt Gundam, forcing Tris and her teammates to summon the Shuffle Joker, Shuffle Ace, Shuffle Spade, and Shuffle Diamond to counter them, while Domon and Master Asia square off in the Shining Gundam and Master Gundam.

After the Shuffle Alliance launch a powerful group attack on the infected fighters and their Gundams, the smoke clears to show the Gundams and their pilots unharmed, but to the shock of Tris and the others, it is revealed that the infected fighters are to become Domon's Shuffle Alliance allies and Tris and her group's successors. Faced with a moral dilemma, Tris, Max, Alan, and Nassius prepare a kamikaze attack on the infected fighters, who initially look up in confusion and concern, then scream in horror when they realize the Shuffle Alliance's intentions. Following the impact, Domon is met by Tris and her team in a dream-like area, where Tris, Alan, Max, and Nassius give up their lives to purge the DG Cells from Chibodee, George, Sai Saici, and Argo, disinfecting them and rendering them immune from future infections, while wishing Domon the best with carrying on their legacy. When Domon returns to reality, he sees the Shuffle Alliance Gundams having turned to stone by the sacrifice of their pilots' lives, before they crumble and collapse into dust.

Master Asia is unsympathetic to his old allies' sacrifice, having the Master Gundam stomp and crush what's left of the Shuffle Joker's head to dust. However, this enrages Domon, allowing him to activate Shining Gundam's Super Mode and force Master Asia into retreat, for now.

As for Chibodee, George, Sai Saici, and Argo, they soon come to, dazed and confused, and apparently amnesic of their infection by the Devil Gundam. However, they soon react in surprise upon finding their new Shuffle Crests on the back of their hands, similar to Domon's as the King of Hearts: Chibodee is the new Queen of Spades, George is the new Jack of Diamonds, Sai Saici is the new Ace of Clubs, and Argo is the new Black Joker.

Nevertheless, Domon vows to take down Master Asia and the Devil Gundam, including his brother Kyoji, at any and all costs.
