"Outback at Ya!" is the 11th episode of Season 5 of the new Mickey Mouse (2013) series created by Paul Rudish for the Disney Channel and Disney.com. It is the 89th in the series.
Mickey's boomerang sets off a series of dangerous, unintended consequences.
Tropes:
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: The boomerang acts like a sharp blade when it cuts random objects on its homeward journey which includes a swing, a surfboard and a slide.
- Kangaroos Represent Australia: A muscular kangaroo (and her joey) premires here.
- Never My Fault: Inverted. At first, Mickey tries to blame the boomerang for all the accidents he had caused, but he becomes so wrapped up in guilt, he blames himself for everything that has happened.
- Precision-Guided Boomerang: The boomerang that Mickey throws comes back to him, picking up physical objects along the way. Later used near the end, where Mickey throws the boomerang to save people from falling.
- Shout-Out: The angry citizens chase Mickey in a manner similar to Mad Max: Fury Road.
- Tempting Fate: The kangaroo's joey warns Mickey not to throw the boomerang, Mickey throws it anyway.
