"Cable Car Chaos" is the first season 2 short of the new Mickey Mouse (2013) series created by Paul Rudish for the Disney Channel and Disney.com. It's the 19th to both air on the Disney Channel and put up on Disney.com.
In San Francisco, Mickey and Minnie are on a ride in a cable car but a firecracker from a parade spooks the operator of the cable car unconscious at Chinatown, Mickey and Minnie must brave extreme danger to stop the car.
Tropes:
- Blank White Eyes: Minnie does this in annoyance twice after a chicken leaves with a passenger's manual on how to operate a cable car, and shortly after when the lever laughs at her when she failed to move it the first time.
- Comical Overreacting: A small firecracker spooks the cable car operator so much, that he jumps out of his shoes and crashes into the roof.
- Department of Redundancy Department:Cable Car Operator: Next stop Chinatown, everybody, Chinatown. Or as they like to call it around these parts... [beat] ...Chinatown.
- Exact Words: Mickey promises Minnie that he would show her all of San Francisco. In the end, with their cable car stuck atop the Golden Gate Bridge, they literally see everything.
- Fur Is Clothing: Minnie rolls up the fur on her arms as if they were sleeves before attempting to stop the cable car.
- Growing Muscles Sequence: Minnie briefly becomes BRUTALLY muscular when she pulls the lever in an attempt to stop the cable car.
- Musical Nod: The music from Panda-monium can be heard near Chinatown.
- Say My Name: As Minnie is being pulled away from the runaway cable car, this happens:Minnie: Mickey!
Mickey: [quietly] Minnie! - Take My Hand!: As Mickey reaches for Minnie on the cable car while riding the bike, he grabs... her glove, which comes off her hand.
- A Twinkle in the Sky: More of a poof than a twinkle, but it happens when the cable car goes off a pier and is launched by a fishing net.
