Recap / Mega Man NT Warrior Axess Nebulas Secret Base

Go To

With Anetta revealing Dr. Regal as the mastermind behind the dark chips and working alongside the Darkloids, and getting captured by Yuriko, Lan and Chaud set out to rescue her.

  • Bittersweet Ending: More bitter then sweet: Anetta is saved, but Chaud uses the Dark Chip to save Proto Man against Shade Man, corrupting Proto Man after he gives Mega Man Proto Soul and causing him to join the Darkloids, costing Chaud his Netnavi for the time being and robbing the Net Savers of an valuable ally and another Cross Fusion member.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Sword Man is shown standing next to Laser Man's throne, but wouldn't become active until approximately half a dozen episodes later.
  • Fallen Hero: Anetta's dark chip from the previous episode is used to give Proto Man a power boost and stand a chance against Shade Man.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: An attempted non-lethal example: Mega Man pleads to Lan to use the Dark Chip on him, more than willing to risk corruption to defeat Shade Man and save everyone. However, Chaud takes the chip and uses it instead, saving Mega Man and condemning Proto Man instead.
  • Make Way for the New Villains: When Shade Man returns to his palace, Laser Man has taken his throne and the Darkloids sans Bubble Man have shifted their loyalties to him. Laser Man sends Shade Man plummeting through the floor, leaving his fate unknown.
  • Mercy Kill: Subverted: Proto Man begs Mega Man to delete him before he’s fully corrupted, but Mega Man refuses.
  • The Power of Friendship: Before the dark chip fully corrupts him, Proto Man takes the last piece of his essence to give Mega Man Proto Soul.
  • Sadistic Choice: Should Lan use the Dark Chip at the cost of corrupting Mega Man, or not, allowing Shade Man to delete his Navi? Just as Lan, at Mega Man’s coaxing, is about to insert the chip, Chaud snatches it away and uses it himself.
