The gang decide to compete in the annual Thumb War competition. While Adorabat is having fun, Mao Mao insists that there is no point in having fun if you are just going to lose. Soon Mao Mao begins losing hope in trying when he is forced to give up his gloves and use his actual stubby fingers while also going up against the champion, Big Thumb Pete.

- My God, What Have I Done?: Mao Mao has this reaction when he realizes that he has discouraged Adorabat and resulted in her no longer having fun at the Thumb War. This inspires Mao Mao to fight back against Big Thumb Pete.
- Wins by Doing Absolutely Nothing: Badgerclops wins all his matches because the Sweetie-Pies are too intimidated by his size and forfeit. In the end, he gets the grand prize trophy, which he confesses to getting by bribing like crazy.
