Higgins: Sadly, yes.
Magnum: Anyway, I found the cat. It was the wrong one. This one had blood on it. We tracked the cat back here, we found body. Figured the cat came in contact with the body at some point.
Katsumoto: And where's your furry witness now? - Plot Allergy: Magnum turns out to be allergic to cat hair, forcing him to get Higgins to help.
- Prohibited Hero Saves the Day: Magnum is benched by Detective Katsumoto. As usual, he ignores it.
- Shout-Out: Thomas is given a red Hawaiian shirt, similar to that worn by Tom Selleck in the original series.
- Spotting the Thread: While searching for the lost Mittens, Magnum finds another cat, an orange tabby named Max who has blood on his paws. Following Max's tracks leads to the dead FBI agent.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Averted. Magnum returns to Cecilia at the end to find out that Mittens returned home all by himself.
