The Ash asks Bo to take out a significant threat.
- Break His Heart to Save Him: Kenzi tells Nate she's not in love with him so he'll leave town and won't get caught up in the coming battles with the Garuda.
- Demonic Possession: Turns out Nadia's amnesia and aggressive behaviour is the result of the Garuda using her to try and get information from Lauren on Bo and the Ash.
- Dying as Yourself: Invoked; Nadia thanks Bo for fatally wounding her and thus freeing her from the Garuda's control.
- False Friend: The Garuda offers the Glaive an alliance between it and the Light Fae. According to Trick, it will do the same thing with the Dark Fae, convincing them both it's on their side, to ensure the war it needs to create the emotion it feeds on will ensue.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: Kenzi decides her friendship with Bo is more important than her relationship with Nate.
- I Cannot Self-Terminate: Nadia desperately begs Lauren and Bo to kill her when she realises the Garuda is possessing her.
- I Choose to Stay: Despite Trick and Bo urging her to leave with Nate, Kenzi chooses to stay and help Bo fight the Garuda.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Bo's reaction when she inadvertently kills Nadia in self-defence.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: Lauren all but says this to Nadia as the latter dies in her arms.
- Sanity Slippage: Nadia is alternating between periods of extreme aggression and then amnesia where she has no memory of what she's done. She has no idea what's causing it, but knows it's not good.
- Shout-Out: Nadia attacking Lauren in the shower seems to be one to Film/Psycho.
- Troubled Fetal Position: Bo finds Kenzi in one of these after she breaks up with Nate.
- You Wouldn't Shoot Me: The Glaive invokes this, insisting Bo won't kill her. She's right...but Bo will settle for knocking her unconscious and delivering her treacherous ass to the Ash.
