Recap / Lazy Town S 1 E 12 Rottenbeard

Go To

Mayor Meanswell tells the story of the dreaded pirate Rottenbeard, who sailed into LazyTown long ago and was foiled by a mysterious hero, but not before breaking the LazyTown Stone, which contains the secret to living in LazyTown.

Robbie Rotten, inspired, creates a fake half of the stone and disguises himself as a pirate to lead the kids on a treasure hunt. The fake stone is an ode to laziness, but when Stephanie discovers what may be the real stone, Sportacus will have to re-enact the legend to save everyone from Robbie's schemes!

This episode contains examples of:

  • Dual Wielding: Sportacus dual-wield tennis rackets versus Robbie's balloon swords.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Had Stephanie not accidentally found the real map, Robbie would've succeeded in making LazyTown lazy again.
  • Oh Wait, This Is My Grocery List: Robbie hands the kids a rolled up paper to act as a map to his stone. When Stephanie reads it, it becomes clear Robbie actually gave her his grocery list.
  • Pirate Episode: Yep.
