Written By Michael Chernuchin and Julie Martin

Directed By Alex Chapple

As the siege winds down, SVU gets the chance to fully investigate the woman's claims, soon exposing an extremely dangerous criminal network willing to do anything to avoid prosecution. During the investigation, Stone's own sister is taken by the network during an extremely brutal shooting at the psychiatric hospital she lives in in an effort to dissuade SVU. Although detectives search for her, the situation unfortunately ends in a tragic result for Stone, his sister and the detectives involved.

Tropes

  • Drunk with Power: When Miguel cracks, he boasts about how good complete control over the girls he smuggled felt and how that control let him use the "cargo" for his own enjoyment.
  • Knight Templar Big Brother: After Stone's sister is killed he reminisces about the time he beat the hell out of a boy who gave her a bloody lip at age nine.
  • The Main Characters Do Everything: Zigzagged, as Benson says (for once) ESU should take the lead in the hostage situation, but Stone immediately jumps in front of them.
  • Season Finale: The show's nineteenth.
  • Sex Slave: Lourdes was one of these. Half a dozen of them are rescued from the warehouse at the end of the episode.
  • There Should Be a Law:
    Stone: Legally, that's irrelevant.
    Benson: What about MORALLY?
Stone: What does that even mean?
Benson: Maybe it means that whoever's less guilty wins.
  • The Social Darwinist:
Miguel: There are the weak, and there are the strong.
Benson: And you are the strong.
Miguel: YES! YES! I COULD HAVE ANYONE I WANTED, FOR A THOUSAND MILES I WAS THEIR GOD! They were mine, until I dumped them in the warehouse, and went back to get a new batch!
