The arrival of District Attorney Nicholas Baxter causes waves as Price and Maroun attempt to prosecute a woman for murdering a guy who was into BDSM.
- Bad Liar: Parker pretends that Reese was just a consultant, but he's clearly lying and Maroun is able to get him to admit that he had hired Reese to be his financial dominatrix and only broke up with her after she robbed him and then blackmailed him into silence.
- Bondage Is Bad: Banks uses Barlowe's BDSM as a way to shame him while also trying to establish an alternate theory of the crime (that another dominatrix, instead of his client, murdered him).
- Has a Type: The victim's ex-wife is a green eyed blonde, as are both his S&M girlfriend and the financial dominatrix charged with killing him.
- Red Herring: The police investigate Sargento, the investor who lost millions of dollars thanks to Barlowe's machinations and who assaulted Barlowe shortly before Barlowe was killed. Sargento, however, is innocent. The police also look into Barlowe's former wife Elizabeth (who got nothing in their divorce) and his former dominatrix Melissa James, but both are innocent.
