A young man is shot while going through garbage for treasures. It becomes clear that he got mixed up with a somebody making a ransom drop for a kidnapping that turns out to be a scam. It is traced down to a Sameer Ahmend, who was born in Syria and became a US citizen about six months earlier. It becomes clear that he lied in his citizenship application when he was asked if he had been involved in any major crimes. In court, he admits to having lied, which can get him deported back to Syria.
