Barry is peacefully gardening, when all of a sudden he gets a surprise visit by a little girl panda. He reads a letter she brought with her, and finds out she's his little niece, Stepanida, who got sent by her mother to live with him for the summer.
Pandy quickly began adapting in Barry's house, hanging her posters and other stuff she brought. The next day, she gets acquainted with Olga, who's impressed by Pandy's athetic abilities. Meanwhile, Krash and Chiko build a secret society on the top of a tree, and lift themselves up by a plank tied to a branch. However, they are shocked to find Pandy in their hideout, who tells them she simply climbed on top by her own. Dokko, who was observing the whole thing through his telescope, is also quite surprised to find a panda living in their land, which Krash notices, introducing him to Pandy and says he has a computer she could play on. Later, Olga visits Barry to help him clean his house, while Barry learns about the bamboo Pandy brought with her. That bamboo begins quickly spreading through Barry's garden next morning. Olga and Dokko visit him, saying that Pandy should have more room to play, which this bamboo began to occupy.
Dokko decides to put the extensive plant growth to good use and build Pandy her own house. However, Pandy dislikes the decor her friends put over the house, and decides to decorate it at her liking, beginning to like it in KikoRiki as she decides to stay there a little longer.
