Other dub names: Ever So Grateful! (Studio 100)

Olga is skating when she suddenly falls through the ice. Carlin hears her cries for help, unties the rope from his brushwood, and rushes to her aid. Olga warms herself by the fireplace in Carlin's house and says that her whole life flashed before her eyes. She even remembered where she put her embroidery frame and the recipe for a delicious pie that she will definitely make for Carlin because she is so grateful to him. At night, she wakes him up and brings a pie as promised. She used to cooked it for the most solemn occasions, and forgot the recipe because such cases have not happened for a long time.

The next day, when Carlin is playing the piano, Olga brings him socks and starts singing to his music. This irritates Carlin, and he asks not to distract him. He continues playing the music, but Olga climbs under the piano and tries to put socks on him. Out of shame, Carlin leans on the piano, causing its leg to fall off. Olga, instead of helping him out, continues praising and pushing him, causing the piano to break again. At night, Carlin goes to bed after looking around. The wind opens his window, and when he goes to close it, he sees Olga outside the window. She says that she remembered how one of her friends walked in a dream, so she thought that Carlin might do that, and freeze outside, so she will be around to save him. Carlin gets angry and says that he understands that she also wants to save him from some kind of trouble, but he does not want these to happen to him, and asks her to forget the time he saved her life.

The next day, Carlin carries a new bundle of brushwood and hears Olga's cries for help. He grabs the rope and runs to her, but it turns out that Olga didn't need it this time. She just caught his attention to allow him to remember his deed.

Tropes:

  • Bookends: The episode begins and ends with Carlin untying the rope from his bundle of brushwood and rushing to Olga's aid.
  • I Owe You My Life: Carlin saved Olga from drowning and she is constantly chasing him to thank him for the entire episode.
  • Shout-Out: Episode begins with Olga drawing the name of the episode on the ice and falling under the water, replicating the similar moment from the 8th episode of Nu, Pogodi!
