Sougo is given an ultimatum by his future self: Give up the driver and his Kamen Rider powers and there will be no Oma Zi-O future, but with this rejection comes the dismissal of his dream to be king. What path will Sougo choose from this point on?
Episode Tropes:
- Brought Down to Badass: Even without his powers, Sougo is still steadfast in his belief that he will protect all of his subjects when a reprogrammed Kasshin comes to kill him and Sougo refuses to dodge life-threatening attacks to save an injured boy behind him.
- The Call Knows Where You Live: With Sougo depowered, Swartz and Heure opt to use the disabled Kasshin to kill Sougo while they have the chance and prevent Oma Zi-O from rising. However, Woz stuck around and insisted upon Sougo using a replacement Ziku Driver to resume being Zi-O. Of course since Swartz wants Sougo to become Oma Zi-O, his murder attempt was this on purpose.
- No Ontological Inertia: Sougo destroying his Ziku Driver causes Kasshin to cease functioning as there is no Oma Zi-O.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When Sougo comes home and tells Junichiro that he plans to stop being a king and instead take a college entrance exam, Junichiro tells Sougo a story of how he almost came to work for a famous watch company and instead chose to settle down in his own shop.
- The Power of Trust: Geiz begs Sougo to take his Ziku Driver to return to being Zi-O when Tsukuyomi decides to take on Kasshin after both Geiz and Sougo get downed, promising that he will personally kill Sougo if he ever seems to turn into Oma Zi-O.
- Refusal of the Call: Sougo refuses to transform into Zi-O with Woz’s replacement driver to try to avert his Bad Future as the worst, most wicked demon king.
- 10-Minute Retirement: With Geiz soon to be killed off by Kasshin, Sougo asks for Geiz to destroy his Ziku Driver to save Geiz’s life, which Geiz is able to accomplish despite Kasshin’s attempt to stop the driver’s destruction.
- Theme Music Power-Up: Sougo’s return to Zi-O came with a new insert song.
- Wham Line: At the end of the episode, Woz does his closing narration, only to reveal that history is now going to change a great deal.
- Wham Shot: A new green-highlighted Rider makes his appearance at the end of this episode. A purple Rider appears in the next episode teaser with a distinct ninja motif.
Woz: And thus, Zi-O was reborn.
