Following Medic's Heroic Sacrifice, Shinnosuke's strength is restored and he redoubles his assault on the Sigma Circular. Heart, enraged with Medic's death, rejoins the fray as well. Kamen Rider Drive manages to inflict enough damage to penetrate the Sigma Circular's shield, and calls on all the Shift Cars to give him the strength to finish the job. Both Heart and Driva strike the Sigma Circular, the combined might of human and Roidmude overwhelming the machine and destroying it. The resulting explosion damages the Special Defense Center, and throws Kiriko off her feet.

The exhausted Shinnosuke notes the battle is over, but before Mr. Belt's horrified eyes falls out of the huge gap in the wall. He wakes in a strange forest and is confronted by an ominous black cloud. As he approaches, he is met by a mysterious floating figure who introduces himself as Kamen Rider Ghost. Before he can process this revelation, Shinnosuke suddenly finds himself under attack by an unexpected trio of Roidmudes. Kamen Rider Ghost battles them and directs Shinnosuke to safety before defeating the three Roidmudes.

Shinnosuke wakes to find himself at the foot of the Special Defense Center. Heart greets him, and Shinnosuke realises the Roidmude saved him. He offers Heart his hand, but Heart brushes it off and challenges Shinnosuke to one final fight. However, Shinnosuke, who came to see his once mortal enemies as victims of Banno's manipulations, tries to convince Heart to stop the fight.

Heart calls him naive, and prepares to strike him down. Kiriko arrives and throws Mr. Belt to Shinnosuke, pleading with him to transform and defend himself. Shinnosuke declines, simply watching as Heart charges...only to freeze at the last moment. Shinnosuke had realised Heart was mortally wounded during their battle with the Sigma Circular, and that he'd hoped to die in battle.

Heart tearfully asks if Shinnosuke will remember the Roidmudes, and after Shinnosuke swears to do so the last Roidmude perishes. Shinnosuke grimly notes, "At 3.32 pm...all 108 Roidmudes were destroyed," before he and Kiriko salute their fallen foe.

Upon their return to the backup hangar, Shinnosuke greets his friends. The moment is bittersweet, as he wishes Chase was with them to celebrate. He also notices that Mr. Belt is missing, and upon being informed that Mr. Belt took the Drivers and Shift Cars, realises what he intends.

The SCU arrive at the wrecked Drive Pit, where Mr. Belt plans to seal himself, the Shift Cars, the Tridoron and the rest of his technology until humanity is ready to use it properly. Mr. Belt projects an image of himself, bidding the SCU farewell and asking Kiriko to look after Shinnosuke for him. As Mr. Belt descends deep underground, the SCU salute as they promise to make that worthy future a reality.

A few days later, Honganji, Rinna and Kyuu are packing up, as each member is going their own way. Lt. Otta is grumpy over not having a desk to clear, despite how much time he spent there. Gou is meanwhile picked up by Professor Harley, and rides off into the distance.

Meanwhile, Shinnosuke and Kiriko are driving along when they are pulled over by a police officer on motorcycle. Shinnosuke's car happens to match the reports of a stolen car and so he asks for registration. Unexpectedly, the officer happens to have a familiar face, and both Shinnosuke and Kiriko realise they are looking at the man Chase based himself on. Shinnosuke offers to befriend the officer, who brushes him off and declares he needs no friends.

Shinnosuke then informs Kiriko of something he'd been meaning to say for awhile: that she had the loveliest smile. The two exchange smiles, and drive off into the future...

  • All Your Powers Combined: Drive Type Tridoron uses the power of ALL Shift Cars to deal a final blow to Sigma.
  • Back for the Finale: Freeze, Thief and Sword Roidmudes (or rather, their ghosts).
    • Bet you weren't expecting Prof. Harley Hendrickson to appear and pick up Gou, now were ya?
    • And in a meta sense, Taiko Katono via finally playing the human that Chase got his looks from: a highway cop with the same cold and by-the-book personality he has.
  • Battle in the Rain: Heart and Shinnosuke.
  • Continuity Snarl: Concerning the upcoming Ghost, the next episode makes it clear that all of Ghost's Early Bird Cameos took place before Takeru Tenkuji first became Ghost on October 4 2015, as is seen in his first episode.
  • Delayed Reaction: Heart, in the Heroic Second Wind moments in the battle against the Sigma Circular, had been struck in the heart by a tooth spike, though his wound was not made apparent until his chest sparked in a strange way.
  • Due to the Dead: Shinnosuke and Kiriko give a salute after Heart's death.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Kamen Rider Ghost makes the second of three appearances, having appeared before Kiriko and Gen in Surprise Future, to assist Shinnosuke when he's confronted by the ghosts of several Roidmudes.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Kamen Rider Lupin's gear can be seen among the other Riders equipment when they're about to be sealed deep underground beneath the Drive Pit.
  • Like a Son to Me: Professor Harley hints Gou is like this to him, and Gou (having seen what a bastard his actual father was) is happy to acknowledge it.
  • Near-Death Experience: After he passed out and fell out of the Special Defense Building, Shinnosuke wakes up in a strange forest. There, he meets not only the ghosts of the Freeze, Thief and Sword Roidmudes, but also his successor, Kamen Rider Ghost.
  • No Body Left Behind: Like Medic and Brain before him, this was the ultimate fate of Heart's corpse.
  • The Stoic: The motorcycle officer who pulls Shinnosuke and Kiriko over. Unsurprising, considering he's the guy Chase copied.
  • Suicide by Cop: Heart, having received a grievous wound to his Core during the fight with Sigma, wants to die fighting Shinnosuke. Unfortunately, he expires before he can finish their duel.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: During the credits we are shown what happened to the members of the SCU sans Shinnosuke and Kiriko.
    • Honganji gets back-to-back promotions until he becomes the Commissioner of the Metro Police Department, earning himself the slogan "If there's trouble, call Honganji".
    • Rinna moves on to be a global authority in electro-physics, eventually getting awarded a Nobel Prize for physics.
    • Genpachiro gets promoted to Inspector, and after dedicating half his life to the First Division and becoming a renowned officer, was promoted again to Captain.
    • Kyu becomes a celebrity author, his magnum opus being novel about his time in the SCU called "Mechanical Friendship", dedicated it to 072.
    • Gou resumes roaming the world, eventually becoming a famous nature and wildlife photographer.
  • The World Is Not Ready: The justification behind Mr. Belt's decision to seal away all of the Riders equipment, himself included.
  • Unflinching Faith in the Brakes: Shinnosuke remained stoned-face even as an energized fist was coming to smash his head in, knowing something wrong has happened to Heart. Millimeters away, Shinnosuke's intuition proved right.
  • The Voiceless: The Roidmudes who confront Shinnosuke in the forest. Freeze is the most notably silent, considering his final taunting words when Drive killed him.
  • The Worf Effect: Despite being an astounding threat to Kamen Rider Drive, Freeze is destroyed alongside Thief and Sword Roidmudes by Ghost fairly easily. On the other hand, it was basically his ghost so...

The Roidmude Count: 0. The Roidmude race is extinct.
The Answer: To humanity. And to an extent, Shinnosuke's successor, Kamen Rider Ghost.
