It's Christmas time, and the Test family are celebrating the holidays. However, Hugh is dismayed that a neighbor across the street gets all the attention from passersby wanting to see his light decorations. Johnny, Susan, and Mary decide to help him out by making a flashier display. While it works, this attracts the attention of others (namely Gil, Dark Vegan, and Bling-Bling Boy), who likewise decide to make their own displays, leading into a throwdown of festive lights.

- When Gil mentions he wishes his house could have a light display like the Test family, Johnny instantly knows that his sisters are going to jump at the chance to help him.
- The Test Family get this when they see their neighbor move...and find out Eugene brought the house.
- Over-the-Top Christmas Decorations: The displays start off fairly normal, but then they start adding things like huge mecha snowmen and an inflatable T. rex which is later adorned with mechanical parts, eventually culminating with the lights being seen from outside the city.
- Running Gag: A man lost out at sea on a raft sees the light displays from his location and tries to paddle to them, only for the display to be cut off, costing him a chance at reaching land. Santa helps him out at the end by giving him a motor tube.
- Shout-Out:
- When given the laptop to activate their lights and draw attention away from his neighbor, Hugh chimes "Merry Christmas, you filthy animal" as he does so.
- The group coming together to make a small Christmas tree is one to A Charlie Brown Christmas.
- Spit Take: Lila does this when Hugh asks Johnny if it's alright to use part of his college fund to pay for a better light display.
