It's a typical warm day out westin a small town,where Felix is sherriff. when in the Professer's lab, he's just come up with a new spray—-one that can make a large cloud——something he uses for himself and Rock. They then try this to head out west to rob the town, robbing farms (the big man-made clouds goes in one, comes out, goats now have no fur), an Indian tribe (one, trying to shoot buffalo, just a moment ago, is now nude, with NO bow ad arrow, another, seen from outside the teepee, now is seen gambling inside his bathtub, unaware of what just happened to his teepee!) then a prospector just finds gold but then the cloud passes by, and removes it ("I've been ROBBED!").
Cut to Sheriff Felix, who hears the news on the radio and from some residents. He then finds the big cloud and thenorders:"All right, reach", with his trusty gun, but naturally the Professor and Rock Bottom ambush him, in the cloud shooting from outside the cloud, Rock even doing a trick (backwards with mirror). They then tie up Felix and leave him for dead in th desert as part one ends.
Part two picks up with the officers in the little town paying last respects to Felix, who's still tied up back in the desert. Suddenly, a vulture swirls aorund, goes down as if to eat Felix, then unties him and asks in an Ed Wynn-like voice.."Excuse me buddy, but do you know the way to Alberquerque", unies the cat, who shows him the way, then leaves.'
Felix tries an impromptu road block, a barricade created by a typical saw horse. Rockbottom simply shoots Felix up in the air with a bow and arrow either that he or the Professor brought along or that they'd swiped, then Felix winds up on the desert ground as the two take off.
"When Law and order are strapped"-the culprits" must be trapped", saysa Felix, still sitting.
Meanwhile, the loots showing, since the two crooks got so much, and on Rockbottom's suggestion, the Professor (who's still got the gas spray with him), increases the cloud as needed, then ("there is something up ahead)-a bank that the two, in the "cloud", go inside. It's actually a jail with a facade of a bank on it! The two then trapped, Felix knocks down the easy-to-handle movie set-like facade as Rock says out loud, "Gimme room". Felix, then, now armed with a portable fan from nowhere, says "Room? I'll give ya AIR", as he turns the fan on, blowing away the cloud.
Rockbottom points out.."Look, PROFESSOR! FELIX is in JAIL!" The Professor corrects him:"ROCK! DON'T BE STUPID! WE'RE in JAIL"(caps from the episode). Cut to the standard stock animation of Felix laughing as the cartoon irises out.
