"He'll be there for a million years!"

Felix in Egypt is a 1959 Felix the Cat cartoon and the 11th episode of the Felix the Cat (Joe Oriolo) series.

The episode starts with Felix braving a stormy sea on a pirate ship, but he's overwhelmed and swept away by the waters. The next day, Professor is standing on top of a palmtree near a beach, watching through his telescope. He spots Felix walking onshore with his Magic Bag, and he disguises himself as a palmtree to sneak up on Felix and get the bag. Felix gets annoyed at the tree following him and tells it to stop, but he relents when it starts crying. Professor grabs a coconut from it and tries to drop it on Felix's head, but it misses and Felix misinterprets it as a gift. Felix lies down to rest, and Professor takes advantage of this moment to grab the bag and run off, only for Felix to spot the tree and ask where its going, forcing him to stop and drop the bag. Felix thinks the tree is thirsty and turns the bag into a fire hydrant, spraying it with a hose. This ends up giving Professor a cold, and he goes elsewhere to warm up. Inside the building he goes in, he stumbles across a flying carpet, and uses it to fly after Felix, scooping him up with a butterfly net as they fly over the desert landscape and pyramids. They fly inside of a pyramid and land, and Felix notices the hieroglyphs on the wall. Professor then unveils his Ray-O-Graph machine to Felix, using it to turn Felix into a hieroglyph and trapping him on the wall and claiming his Magic Bag.

Professor tries to open the bag, but as Felix guesses, the bag turns the tables on him, failing to open up. Professor kicks it, but the bag then barks and chases after him like a dog out of the pyramid and through the desert, biting him on the rear. He runs back into the pyramid and rams his head into the wall, conking himself out. Felix slides along the way and reaches into the bag, pulling out a bicycle pump and inflating himself back to normal. Felix sneaks up to Professor, grabs his bag and runs away, which awakens him. Felix evades Professor in an elevator while Professor continues the chase. Felix steps outside onto the roof of the pyramid and pulls out suction cups from his bag to safely climb down it. Professor tries sliding down after him, but he ends up flying into the air and into the mouth of the nearby Sphinx, who eats him. Felix laughs as the cartoon irises out.
