Jade takes the Chi-O-Matic on a field trip to a supposed haunted mansion where her teacher Ms. Hartman accidentally absorbs the sky demon's chi.

- A Day in the Limelight: Ms. Hartman absorbs the sky demon chi and does a decent job fighting off Drago.
- Badass Teacher: Ms. Hartman once Hsi Wu's chi transforms her. She's able to put up enough of a fight to give Drago trouble.
- Child Hater/Sadist Teacher: Why Jade believes Ms. Hartman is a teacher. Ms. Hartman says otherwise as she adores children. Although mildly played straight earlier when she confiscates the chi-o-matic from Jade under the impression it was an electronic game. Jade tries to explain it's not a toy only to take it as backtalk and assigns the entire class a two-page essay.
- Haunted House: Windsor's Manor starts off as a fake one as Jade discovers the ghostly moans were from a tape recorder and the piano making noise without some playing it was a player piano. It turns into a real haunted house due to the demon chi in Drago and Ms. Hartman. The ending implies the haunted house was real as Tohru says he wasn't actually afraid only for a portrait of the manor's deceased owner to raise a skeptical eyebrow, creeping out Tohru.
