- Acid Pool: When Jack take the Silver Monkey off of its pedestal, the room starts filling with acid.
- Ancient Artifact: El Chango de Plata, or The Silver Monkey, is an ancient artifact housed in a Temple of Doom.
- Artifact of Attraction: King George, President Jefferson and Governor Croque want the Silver Monkey and everyone ends up fighting over it. Since it's implied that there is actual magic involved, one can't tell if this is entirely political or if the monkey is having an effect on everyone.
- Defeat by Modesty: Jack attempts this by walking in while Emilia is bathing, refusing to leave until she tells him where she hid the Silver Monkey.
- Hidden Elf Village: It turns out that the Walla Walla Bing Bang still exist in some fashion as a Benevolent Conspiracy meant to protect the Silver Monkey.
- Laser Hallway: Jack and Emilia have to cross one of these in the ancient temple.
- Mouse Trap: Emilia tricks Jack into thinking that she hid the Silver Monkey under her bed, only to get snagged by various mouse traps. She actually had the monkey in the tub with her all along.
- Shout-Out: The Walla Walla Bing Bangs are named after lyrics from the David Seville song "Witch Doctor".
- Slapstick: Jack winds up on the receiving end of a lot of physical punishment this episode, including being hit with darts and being pushed out of a window.
- Temple of Doom: The Silver Monkey was kept in a temple full of Durable Deathtraps.
- Toplessness from the Back: Emilia takes off her robe and we get a glimpse of her bare back before she steps into the bath.
- The World Is Not Ready: The Walla Walla Bing Bang are so intent on keeping the Silver Monkey a secret for this reason, though the reason is implied to be mystical in origin.
