Meeting with a mark is usually a piece of cake. But on a day where a head concussion means you temporarily Cannot Tell a Lie to the mark...

The crew hustle the manager of Railton F.C, Don Coleman, who is responsible for letting the club fall into administration, something Ash finds completely despicable.

Tropes:

  • Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie: Invoked in "The Fall of Railton FC". Needing some footage of a fake football game, Emma pretends that her grandfather's last wish was to have his ashes scattered on the turf of his beloved football club, and cons the caretaker into letting her and the rest of the crew on to the pitch to do so. However the caretaker walks past shortly after and sees the entire crew filming themselves on the pitch - he simply shakes his head to himself and goes about his day.
  • Cannot Tell a Lie: Ash bangs his head onto a glass door and suffers from a condition that makes him unable to lie, which requires Emma to come along to the final meeting.
  • Closest Thing We Got: Due to Ash's current condition, Emma is forced to accompany him to the final meeting with Coleman to act as his lawyer and answer any difficult questions, as Coleman's met everyone else as part of the con already.
  • Lethal Chef: Albert's cooking, according to Ash.
  • The Reveal: The opening scene of Ash and Emma looking nervous is because the former Cannot Tell a Lie to direct questions. However, when forced to by Don, he tells the truth about the con, but laughs a few moments later to make it appear that he was joking, turning what could've killed the con and gotten them all banged up into a Sarcastic Confession..
  • Rousing Speech: Ash does one at the start of the episode, comparing footballers to benevolent gods, and how greed has ruined local football clubs. Even the crew start to get mildly bored of it.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Mickey, as an investor, often speaks like this to intentionally confuse Don, and to appear to be in the big leagues of trading. Don mirrors this exact thing when speaking to Albert posing as an Investor, and even he knows he's out of his depth.
