After lying about Gavin's Heroic Sacrifice actually being his own, Lionel is disturbed and suspicious to meet Gavin's nicer twin brother, Guyvin. Pete deals with his own guilt as a bizarre creature begins following him.

- Backup Twin: The episode introduces Gavin's "identical but suspiciously nicer" twin brother, Guyvin, after the former died in season one. All the characters (except Lionel, who thinks it really is Gavin) point out that this makes total sense. Guyvin ends up dying before the end of the episode.Connie: Sometimes characters have twins and that's just good storytelling.
- Chekhov's Gun: Lionel grabs a pashmina for his meeting with Guyvin, which flies off and blocks Guyvin's view during their meeting, leading to Guyvin's death.
- Continuity Nod: We once again see Connie's sister Bonnie from the Big Mouth episode "Sugarbush."
- Don't Try This at Home: Parodied after Emmy takes a used condom despite Pete's insistence not to. Maury pops up in a doctor's outfit telling the "kids" at home never to reuse condoms... then shills his own brand of reusable condoms as an exception.
- Employee of the Month: Lionel's false stories of being a hero during the storm earn him Employee of the Month.
- Or Was It a Dream?: Pete has what appears to be a Guilt-Induced Nightmare about Dante's severed dick coming back to haunt him, shoving itself down Pete's throat. Pete wakes up, thinking it was a dream... then coughs up a used triple-dick condom with one sleeve torn off, implying the dream was real, much to his horror.
- Undignified Death: Guyvin dies in the same way Lionel claimed Gavin died, getting so freaked out by a pashmina flying onto his face and slipping on his own piss off the building.
