On the 4th of July, Honey, Chief and Elsa each face an individual problem.

- Breaking the Fourth Wall: As Honey and Chief are struggling to make it back to shore, Elsa questions if she can help them when suddenly the last of Diablo's modesty pixels flies up, gives her a pep talk, and kisses her on the nose before disappearing. She even acknowledges that it was a pixel.
- God for a Day: Chief meets a pod of sea lions who consider him The Chosen One.
- Fear of Thunder: On in this case, fireworks. All the animals are terrified of the "booms" that come every July Fourth, and since they don't have a concept of the calendar year, they never really know when they will happen. By the end, some of them learn to get over their fear and enjoy the fireworks.
- Raging Stiffie: Diablo gets a new anti-anxiety medication that gives him a constant erection, which is heavily pixellated. As it wears off, the pixels disappear one by one.
- Running Gag: Elsa screaming "We're all gonna die" before ramming head long into something. It actual happens three times exactly.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: After realizing she's a fake service dog, Elsa tries to remove her vest...but being a dog who lacks opposable thumbs, she is unable to do this.
- You Mean "Xmas": The 4th of July is referred to as "Boomsday" by the pets.
