Captain Man and Kid Danger's thunder is being taken over by a new superhero duo, the Thumb Buddies, but their dislike soon subsides when the duo reveal they were inspired to become heroes by them. When an accident occurs, the duo soon seeks revenge on them.
Tropes:
- Artistic License – Gun Safety: Played for Laughs. After seeing Jasper in a Thumb Buddies fan shirt, Captain Man gets furious at him and eventually picks up his laser gun and starts shooting wildly at him, causing him to run away and out of the room. That leads to this conversation with an angry Kid Danger:Kid Danger: That was incredibly dangerous. You could have seriously hurt Jasper.
Captain Man: Oh don't worry, it was on light stun. (looks at laser gun) Ooh. Yikes. (he turns the power level down) - Both Sides Have a Point: While Ray was right the Thumb Buddies getting sent into space wasn't his fault and he and Kid Danger couldn't save them, Mark relents that they did go into space before to save the trapped astronauts, which was also true which they realize they should've also used the same technology back then.
- Call-Back: Mark brings up the time Captain Man and Kid Danger went to space one time to save the astronauts from the space station.
- Create Your Own Villain: The Thumb Buddies turn against Captain Man and Kid Danger when they didn't come to rescue them lost in space.
- Mondegreen Gag: Before becoming the Thumb Buddies, Mark says his mother told him to be "somebody", which he misheard as "thumb buddy". This inspires he and Joey to become superheroes, adopting that name.
- Special Guest: Jerry Trainor and Arnie Pantoja as the Thumb Buddies Joey and Mark.
