Minami Shibuya is in class watching her friend, Shiori Akasaka, talking to some other girls who are planning to hang out and team up for a field trip. Minami is enraged because Shiori has decided to exclude her. At midnight, she accesses the Hell Correspondence and submits Shiori's name. Ai receives the request while playing with a paper balloon. Ai's "grandmother" comments that more requests seem to be coming in every day and wonders if Ai's clients don't have anyone they can talk to about their problems instead. Ai appears in Minami's room and hands her Wanyuudo's straw doll. Ai says that she will ferry Shiori to Hell if Minami unties the thread. Minami is eager to do so, but Ai tells her to think it through, reminding Minami that the price is her soul and sending her a vision of a river of blood. Minami counters that her life is already hell and that she wants to see the look on Shiori's face when she pulls the thread.
The next day, Minami glares constantly at Shiori, fumbling with the straw doll and remembering how the two met when Minami first enrolled and the things they did together after. Minami felt betrayed when she found out Shiori started hanging out with other girls and never talking to her and so started trying to call Shiori near-constantly. The other girls tell Shiori to go to the teacher, who says he'll talk to Minami. Minami tries to talk to Shiori, but the other students drive her away and Shiori tells her to leave her alone. While returning from the nurse's office after being hit by a ball thrown by another student, Shiori recalls that Minami was playing with something and decides to look in her desk, finding the straw doll. Shiori thinks that Minami is trying to curse her and decides to beat her to it. Minami looks desperately for the doll, but cannot find it.
Hajime is being paid for some information on another person and signs a form saying he'll keep it to himself when he sees Shiori with the straw doll. Shiori nails the straw doll to a tree at a shrine to curse Minami. Ai, Ichimoku Ren and Hone Onna come to retrieve Wanyuudo, but Ai says to leave him. Minami's parents call her in sick and Minami herself starts to think that maybe she should forget about revenge. Shiori wonders if her curse worked, but finds her two friends decided to team up with another girl. Shiori calls Minami asking to talk. Overjoyed, Minami runs to the shrine to meet Shiori, who is holding the straw doll. Ai and her minions look on as Shiori apologizes for shutting Minami out. Ai walks off andRen and Hone Onna start to think that the two are going to put it behind them. Hone Onna comments that maybe "happily ever after" rubs Ai the wrong way. Shiori suggests that they curse their classmates with the doll and Minami tells her that the doll works by untying the thread. Minami says that she has to be the one to pull the thread. Shiori pressures her to pull the thread. Hajime hears and tries to reach them, but Shiori makes Minami pull the thread and disappears and Hajime finds Minami alone. Horrified, Minami breaks down crying and says that it's not her fault. Ai appears and says that it is Minami's fault, reminding her that she wanted to see the look on Shiori's face. Hajime asks where Shiori went and Minami says that she's probably in Hell. Minami says she's fine with it because she'll be joining Shiori there someday and that maybe they can be friends again there. A candle with Minami's name is lit.

- Hoist by His Own Petard: Shiori makes Minami pull the thread, thinking it will get someone else sent to Hell. Turns out Minami was thinking of sending her to Hell, and that's exactly where she goes.
- Hope Spot: Even Ren and Hone Onna thought that Minami and Shiori were going to make up, but Shiori went and made Minami pull the thread.
- Only Friend: Minami sees Shiori as this. Shiori invokes it to get Minami to pull the thread, which gets her banished and sells Minami's soul.
- Magic A Is Magic A: Since Minami sent out the request to banish Shiori, Shiori is the only one the doll works on.
- New Friend Envy: Minami develops this toward Shiori spending most of her time with other girls and shutting her out, which drives her actions throughout the episode. Shiori goes back to Minami when the same thing happens to her, which ends in tragedy when she tries to get Minami to curse the other girls only to find that Magic A Is Magic A.
- Rivers of Blood: When Ai shows Minami a vision of her punishment in Hell, it's of her drowning in a river of blood.
- Sound-Only Death: Shiori's banishment to Hell is only conveyed through her panicked cries for Minami.
- Stalker without a Crush: Minami follows Shiori because she feels that Shiori abandoned her by only hanging out with the other two girls.
- Villain Teleportation: Ichimoku Ren apparently uses his left eye to get around places.
